Workshops

KidzAmerica is committed to bringing its comprehensive and customized youth-centered community model to schools, communities, and cities across this great nation. We believe that we have developed a adaptable model which demonstrates how all the neighborhood’s stakeholders: parents, school representatives, churches, social service agencies, the police, health care providers and the business community can be a part of an on-going process that centers around youth and actually makes them the central part of the process.

Our workshops offer a comprehensive and integrated experience  for organizing and empowering youth to be self-directed learners and contributors to society. We increase their participation as resources, leaders and problem-solvers in building community unity. Dynamic relationships and partnerships are developed between youth and adults and across the community.

Youth/Community Forums

Youth/Community Forums showcase youth issues and solutions for making their school and community a healthy and safe place to live and learn. Involved in the presentations are the Youth Council, trained in leadership skills, as well as other student representatives from the school/s, parents, and school and community leaders and youth advocates. Action strategies to impact student learning and leadership and school and community improvement are designed by a identified Student Advocate Team and the Youth Council to sustain the goals and plans from the Youth Forum/s. Representatives of the stakeholder community of teachers, administration, parents, community and student body will be involved in supporting the action in a unified manner.





Training

Effective Teaching Strategies: Empowering Students as Learners
Innovative teacher/parent training is integrated with student commitment, self-discipline, and personal responsibility maximizing the student's natural strengths and abilities. Outcomes are increased motivation, self-esteem, self-directed learners, and participation in the classroom.

Student Development
The development of individual character, self-esteem, motivation, and commitment provides the core for student achievement. This workshop is designed to give students hands-on strategies for personal and school success.   

Parent Leadership: Dare to Dream
Empowers parents to realize their full potential, build self-esteem for success with their children, develop family unity, and develop leadership skills for making a difference in their community.
